Just invested in a Video
Editing package called Sony Vegas Movie Studio 4. The top rated Pinnacle Studio 9 was a disaster for me. Pinnacle is certainly a good package, but will really only run without crashing on a stand-alone machine. Adobe Elements was a close second, but Vegas had a better feel for operation. You'll be needing a video capture card (one with video connectors) before you can install a video package. I've an ATI Radeon 9800, which captures video very well from my Hi8 camera. You'll also need a lot of space on your hard drive, because apart from the captured video there'll be the edited material waiting to be burned onto a DVD. 60 minutes of best quality mpeg2 will take up to 4.7GB of space. |
