I'm a TV Sound Recordist, working largely in documentaries.
John Grove

I was the youngest transmission controller for a local Hospital Radio station, at the age of 16. I began my professional career in 1975 in BBC Radio.

I spent a short time at Granada TV in Manchester, working on programmes like "Coronation Street" - when Ena Sharples and Elsie Tanner were still in residence!

In 1982 I moved to London in search of location sound work, and joined OB Video which in turn was bought out by the legendary AKA Film Services.  I've been freelance since 1987.

My career in sound has had a number of highlights, most notably working with the famous photographer Terence Donovan for about 12 years.
